Funds raised every month following the Chicks@Lunch function go towards projects that benefit the Animal Welfare League of Queensland's shelter on Shelter Road (off the Gold Coast Highway) in Coombabah. The following images show some of the construction projects made possible through the money raised by Chicks@Lunch.
Whether it's providing winter walls for the dog pens, new washing machine, property drainage,
roadworks and behavioral exclosure yard. These improvements to the Animal Welfare League's premises benefit the dogs and cats and many other animals rescued there directly , and of course improve the working environment and conditions for the AWL staff too.

OP SHOP BONANZA
Kimya sourced new fashion items from her wholesaler in Brisbane to sell at the AWL Op Shops. Chicks@Lunch paid a minimal $1,100 for the goods with an expected revenue earning of $3,000 to $4,000.
Both Kimya & Rosie spent two days in the Southport Op Shop unloading and displaying shoes, handbags, jewellery boxes, scarves, belts, wallets etc.See images below of this, our June project.
